You can only get to the Exumas through a plane or boat ride; the island is remote. However, once you get there you can rent a rental car for over $75/day, or you can take a taxi around the island. If you are staying on a resort, most resorts have a shuttle service that you can utilize.

Rest and Relaxation
Speaking of staying on a resort, you have a few different options as to where you can stay. Hotels, vacation rentals, and resorts are all viable options when visiting the Exumas.

The native language of the Exumas is English, but you may hear them speaking a native tongue or accent while you visit.

The United States dollar is the official currency of the Exumas. When traveling the Exumas it will be important to either bring the correct currency or convert the currency prior to arriving. If cards are not accepted at certain locations, there are a few ATMs around the island that can be utilized.
